Flexible Spending Accounts

If you have a Flexible Spending Account set up with your employer and you are able to plan your dental treatment ahead, then it allows you to pay pretax dollars toward your dental costs to help cover portion not covered by your insurance. For instance if you elect $1,000 for the year and are in a 28% tax bracket - you will only really pay $720 - so saving $280! Talk to your employer.
